I thought I would infiltrate the Men`s section for a while so I could let them in on a secret, surefire way to attract women. It`s called Obsession for Men and it is very distinctive.
The brand falls under the Unilever product umbrella and was launched in 1985. It`s aim was to carve a niche in the prestige fragrance business.
The original feminine fragrance is an intoxicating oriental blend of floral and spices with an earthy warm base - Calvin Klein then transformed the OBSESSION fragrance into a unique formula for men altering the original fragrance to have a fiery and masculine profile.
It has remained a top-ranking fragrance in the marketplace where few brands have achieved such long-term success. The fragrance blends botanicals, spices and rare woods into a potent, powerful and intensely provocative scent.
This aftershave must have some kind of special ingredient because it never fails to have an effect on me. Do you remember the Television adverts about Impulse where the guys run up and give the girl flowers `because she`s wearing impulse`? Well, reverse the roles and I would be the same ...only be assured I wouldn`t give you flowers!
So, you may ask why? The scent is very warm and it`s one of those all enveloping heady aftershaves. By that I don`t mean strong, more ever present. This means that when you (the men) move about we (the women) get tantalising but momentary whispers of the scent. Another advert springs to mind to describe the situation: the old Bisto advert where the children follow the aroma with huge smiles on their faces.
Now, I wouldn`t want you all to think that Obsession for Men smells like gravy - far from it. I detect vanilla and sweet, spicy notes. For me it conjures up images of people like Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, George Clooney etc..ie suave, smooth and sophisticated. The spicyness gives the scent that edge that says "I know I look smooth but I can also do sexy `ruff and tumble`".
I can honestly say that although I like aftershave in general, this is the only one that makes me stop in my tracks. Someone can brush past me in the street and I will instantly recognize it. Something comes over me and I feel I just have to know who is wearing it. I scan the crowd to see who it could be.... It`s like the `lynx effect` but a million times more powerful.
I know you guys aren`t swayed as much by packaging as we women are but you will be pleased to know that the bottle is nice too. Tall and broad..evoking a likeness to the tall and broad shouldered male image.
As a woman I wouldn`t hesitate in buying this product for a loved one because it is worth every penny. As a man it`s a small price to pay for such a dramatic effect, wouldn`t you say?

Gorgeous and most distinctive aroma, affordable, stylish packaging
I love this fragrance because my husband used to wear it when we were courting. In those days I would sniff my cusions and clothes when he had been near them to get that smell of `him`. That way I could be reminded of his lovely presence even when he was not there.
Obsession is *the* superlative men`s fragrance because it is so unlike any other aftershave I have ever smelt. Whereas most aftershaves are very cool, green or citrus like, Obsession is completely the opposite. It is warm and fruity with hints of vanilla, myrhh and spices and the fragrance just blows me away. I just love it when I get a whiff of hubby when he is wearing Obsession. I just *have* to go up to him and nuzzle his furry chest which traps the molecules of fragrance wonderfully.
Although I would say this fragrance wouldn`t be to every man`s (or their woman`s) liking, my husband always has plenty in stock - I see to that! It`s sexy, sensual and extremely evocative. If ever I smell someone else wearing it I am reminded of dear hubby and I get all excited and warm inside.
Obsession comes in around the mid-price range, (approx £29.99) therefore in almost everyone`s price range and is presented in a sleek and sensual flask like container. The box is cool and stylish and I would definitely suggest this particular aftershave for anyone wishing to make an impression with their loved one this Christmas time!

good value
Obsession for men is an aftershave that I bough for my uncle two years ago and I still remember thinking how good value it was, compared to other leading aftershaves it was decently priced at about £35, my uncle liked my choice and now is a consistent buyer of the aftershave. He claims it smells really nice and can still be smelt on you the next day. I say a definite buy and recommend this to any guy cause I have smelt it and smell real nice, so go check it for yourself.
